PowerWind 500

Available for UK delivery in 2011, the PowerWind 500 is a 500kW rated wind turbine tailored to the UK market.

The PowerWind 500 offers superb profitability due to the highest energy yield in its class.

Based on the proven technology of the PowerWind 56 900kW turbine, the PowerWind 500 is a variable-speed, pitch-controlled wind turbine, certified in accordance with IEC wind class IIA. It has a rated power output of 500kW and a rotor diameter of 56m. A range of tower sizes are available from 44-50m.

The PowerWind 500 is modelled after the proven modular drive train concept - sharing the same mechanical robustness as the established PowerWind 56. With a rated power output of 500 kW, the PowerWind 500 perfectly fits into the 100 - 500 kW Feed-In Tariff (FIT) band.
